Opening a Cafe

So You Want To Open A Coffeeshop…

A dream- that’s how it starts.

Your first move? Write a business plan.

There are lots of templates out there to help, and the work of writing it will focus your dream and help you develop your vision into an actionable plan. Don’t skip it! Your plan will help you with the rest- location, concept, understanding your target market, etc

Then you’ll need to know all about (just for starters) equipment, human resources, menu development, pricing, workflow, and most importantly, coffee!

This can all get pretty overwhelming, but we’ve been there! As independent cafe owners and supply wholesalers, we are equipped to help you along the way. We can provide consultation, training, equipment, coffee, and all your supply needs.

The first question most of us have when starting on a plan is cost. What does it cost to open a cafe?

There's no one answer, because so many things depend on your location, fixed costs, labor costs, buildout, and your particular operations.

Choosing your equipment will also be the result of several personalized decisions.

Here's a basic list of what you need and (coming soon) what it might cost. Again, this is based on a standard bar- you might have different needs or operations that call for different equipment. We'd love to help you figure that out!
