Dear Friends at Kiva Han,
I
am now in Dover England at the Eddystone coffee house---
named for the famous Eddystone Rocks. The rocks are a group
of granite-like boulders, located in the English channel
near the Plymouth breakwaters. They have been the cause of
countless ship wrecks.
Since 1696, four light houses
have been constructed upon these dangerous rocks only to be
later destroyed by fire or storms. Finally, in 1882 a new
construction technique of interlocking stones and bronze
bolts gave the Light House the strength it needed to
survive.
The nearby Eddystone Coffee
House has the same strength and character as its light house
namesake. The house blend at Eddystone combines Kenya AA
beans along with Costa Rican beans creating a beautiful
medium bodied slightly sweet blend. I am sending you this
blend to present to my friends at Kiva Han.
As always,
Sir Edmund Moore |
